1.1 How much is the blocked amount?
From the Winter Semester 2024 onwards, the presumed annual requirement that must be paid into the blocked account when applying for a student visa amounts to €11,904 for one year. The account permits the withdrawal of a fixed amount per month (currently €992 per month for students). Hence, one cannot withdraw more money than the monthly limit. This €11,904 amount remains the required figure for 2026 visa applications.
Earlier, the blocked amount was €10,332, where students could withdraw €861 every month.
