In this post, we will be covering the Best Indian Stores online in Germany from where you can buy your monthly groceries with ease. We all have been struggling during the time of Pandemic to go out and buy groceries.

So if are you looking for the best ways to purchase Indian groceries in Europe? then Let me help you decide.

If you have a question about the cheapest way of sending money to India then you can’t miss to read our post. In this guide, we have compared in detail all the available options for transferring money to India.

Now I get it, while I was coming to Germany I brought all the essentials with me. But they weren’t enough to survive throughout. Usually, I used to go to Indian stores and Asian Shops to buy groceries in Frankfurt. However during the time of the Pandemic and lockdown. I was forced to look for options to buy Indian Groceries online and it was then that I realized that there are a handful of websites which deliver what it promises and it was just a matter of searching.

So without further adieu, Let us dig in to find Indian Stores online in Germany.

Why did I decide to look for Indian Stores Online in Germany?

Well, let us just forget that it’s a time of Pandemic. Because all hands down during this time buying online is the safest thing which you can do.

So let us forget that it was a time of the Pandemic, I usually shopped everything from Frankfurt which was 36 Km away from the place where I used to live, So I usually spent around 9 euros just for travelling to buy Indian Groceries every month. So buying online saves the effort as well as even the cost of commuting to me. Nevertheless, the cost of the product is almost the same either way.

Indian Stores Online in Germany – Advantages

  • Door delivery – I don’t have a car. So, this is so convenient for me. I don’t want to carry 20kgs of atta and rice(combined) in tram/s-Bahn
  • Comparatively cheap when products are available on Sale – The local Indian stores have to cover the costs of the offline shop. You can always compare the prices also there are some offers and sales on the product which you can see on their websites.
  • Multiple payment options – Sometimes the shops have limited card options. For example, it’s hard for me to use my Amex Credit Card in a few stores. The online stores have lots of payment options which makes digital payment easier.
  • Convenient – I love the comfort of sitting at home and ordering online as it doesn’t affect my office schedule
  • Delivery across Europe – Since all of the online stores use postal services (DHL, DPD, etc.,) I can get the Indian grocery delivered to my door

Online Indian Grocery Shop Germany – Disadvantages

  • Shipping time – Most online indian grocery shops in germany do not have same-day or next-day delivery. However, now there are few that started offering next-day delivery.
  • Testing products – We cannot check the products beforehand.
  • Returns – As per the previous point, returning products in Germany is quite a task because you have to send the product back via a post on your own.
  • Fresh products – It’s difficult to buy fresh products (For e.g.: vegetables). Some online stores offer this, but it is not so recommended unless they are really vouching to deliver the next day or its winter season and vegetables can stay fresh for long in transit

By this time, if you’re convinced about the online Indian grocery shop Germany, then please proceed. Or else, go back to the advantages and read again *wink-wink*

Which is the best Indian grocery store online?

If you’re new to buying Indian groceries online, then you might need to consider the following points before you choose your online Indian store.

  • Free shipping cost – Most of the online stores offer FREE shipping above certain buying limit
  • Product catalogue – Not all the Indian stores have all the brands. If you are specific about a certain brand, it is better to check before to see your product is listed or not.
  • Return policy – Different stores have a different return policy. You might need to check this out before you place your order.

Indian grocery delivery by city in Germany

Delivery speed and availability differ by city. Here is how the stores above line up for the main Indian communities in Germany, based on the stores’ published delivery areas and my own orders.

  • Frankfurt / Rhein-Main: Desigros (based in Friedrichsdorf, same-day local delivery) and Spicelands (Frankfurt-based, €4 shipping within Germany) are the most practical local options. Jamoona, Spice Village and Masala Wala also deliver here within 1-3 days.
  • Munich: Grocera offers same-day delivery in Munich and surrounding areas; Spice Master has a pickup option in Munich. Other national stores deliver within 2-3 days.
  • Berlin: Indische Lebensmittel, India Store and Zora Supermarket are all Berlin-based and ship nationwide. Zora also lists fresh fruits and vegetables.
  • Stuttgart: Indian Store Stuttgart is especially relevant for regional availability; Jamoona, Spice Village and Masala Wala also deliver to the Stuttgart area.
  • Smaller towns: most national stores ship with DHL/DPD across Germany, so you are not limited to big cities. The main trade-off is delivery time (2-3 days instead of same-day) and a higher free-shipping minimum.

Tip: before ordering, enter your postcode on the store’s checkout page. Some stores show “free shipping” for a region but exclude certain zip codes, and minimum-order rules can change during sales.

Indian grocery price ranges in Germany (2026)

Prices vary by store, brand and season, but here are typical 2026 price ranges I have seen while ordering Indian groceries online in Germany. Use them as a rough budget guide, not as a fixed price list – always compare the total cart value including shipping.

Fresh Indian vegetables online in Germany

If you are specifically looking for fresh Indian vegetables online in Germany, start with the grocery stores above and check their fresh produce sections before placing a larger monthly order. Availability changes often, especially for seasonal items, so compare delivery areas, minimum order values, and cold-chain or freshness notes before checkout.

  • Get Grocery – useful to check for Indian vegetables and pantry staples when available in your delivery area.
  • Spice Village – often worth checking for Indian groceries, spices, and selected fresh items.
  • Masala Wala – another option to compare for Indian grocery delivery and occasional fresh produce.
  • Easy Groceries – useful as an additional comparison point for fresh and packaged Indian groceries.
  • Indian Store Stuttgart – especially relevant if you are in or near Stuttgart and want regional availability.
  • Zora Supermarket – check for fresh produce, fruits, and delivery policies before ordering.

For fresh vegetables, I would treat the list as a starting point rather than a fixed ranking: search the store for the vegetables you need, check the delivery date, and place a smaller first order before relying on one shop for everything.

FAQs: Indian grocery stores online in Germany

Which Indian grocery store online in Germany is the cheapest?

There is no single cheapest store because prices, shipping minimums and delivery areas change. Compare the total cart value including shipping on the same day: Global Food Hub (free from €25), Yogi Mart (free from €29.99) and Ekirana (free from €29.99) have the lowest free-shipping thresholds, while Grocera often has the lowest bulk rice prices.

Do Indian online grocery stores in Germany sell fresh vegetables?

Yes. Desigros, Spice Village, Masala Wala, MD Store, Global Food Hub, Grocera and Zora Supermarket list fresh vegetables or fruits in their catalogues. Availability changes with the season and your delivery area, so check the store’s fresh section before placing a larger order.

How much does Indian grocery delivery cost in Germany?

Most stores offer free shipping above a minimum order (typically €25-€40). Below that minimum you usually pay a flat fee of about €3.99-€4, or in some cases a weight-based fee (Indische Lebensmittel charges roughly €9.95 for up to 5 kg). Spice Master and Spicelands do not offer free shipping at all.

Can I order Indian groceries online in Germany if I live in a small town?

Yes. Most national Indian grocery stores ship across Germany with DHL or DPD, so you are not limited to big cities. The trade-off is usually a longer delivery time (2-3 days) and a higher free-shipping minimum compared to same-day local delivery in cities like Frankfurt, Munich or Berlin.

Are online Indian grocery prices higher than in local shops?

Not necessarily. Online stores can be cheaper on sale items and bulk packs, but you should factor in shipping costs and minimum order values. My experience is that the total price is comparable – the real advantage of online shopping is door delivery and not carrying 20 kg of rice home.
